Portrait by Plasma is a skin resurfacing technique that uses nitrogen gas to improve the texture and tone of the skin.

It was fairly popular about ten years ago (as of this writing) but the company ended up going bankrupt, leaving many physician owners in a tough spot because they didn’t have access to disposable nozzles that were necessary to use the device.

In addition, patient satisfaction was relatively poor, as evidenced by the 37% current “worth it” rating on Realself.com.

For these reasons, Portrait is on my Holistic Beauty Blacklist.
