Gastric Balloons

We all want a quick fix.

Swallow this balloon and it’ll take up space in your stomach so you feel fuller faster and don’t eat as much.  This will help you lose weight.

Yes, gastric balloons can be temporarily effective.  Yes, many plastic surgeons are recommending them for their patients.  And no, I’m not a fan of this.

Certain gastric balloons have been well-documented to have a history of serious complications.

Plastic surgeons are experts in cosmetic treatments but not in weight loss.  Just check out how many plastic surgeons obviously don’t take good care of their own health and are overweight, inflamed, and unhealthy.

There are many, better ways to lose weight.  I have so many friends in the holistic health arena who can help you do this naturally and non-invasively.  I introduce you to many of them on my social media pages (Follow me at @tonyyounmd on Instagram by clicking HERE) and on my podcast (click HERE for that).

Before going for a quick fix, invasive treatment, I strongly encourage you to exhaust your non-invasive options.  Try a whole foods vegan diet to lose weight.  Consider intermittent fasting.  Or follow a modified Paleo diet to help heal your microbiome and lose weight naturally.

For the reasons listed above, Gastric Balloons are on my Holistic Beauty Blacklist.

Note: This is based solely on the opinions of Dr. Youn, which do not necessarily reflect the opinions of all doctors or the standard of care in your area. Before you undergo any invasive cosmetic treatment, make sure you consult with a real board-certified plastic surgeon.
