Laser Vein Reduction

Non-invasive lasers are best used to reduce spider veins – the squiggly, dark thin veins that can develop on the legs.  The thinner the vein, the greater the chance of success.  Ideally, the best results are obtained when the veins are thinner than a pencil lead.

Typically multiple treatments are necessary for optimal results.  Exercise caution if you have darker skin, as the heat from the laser can create pigmentary side effects.

Wider spider veins and varicose veins (puffy veins) are treated much differently, and can necessitate injections (sclerotherapy) or surgery.
