I hate to say it, but summer is officially over. I am as sad as you are.

Now that autumn is upon us, I thought I’d take some time this week to give you some tips on how to care for your skin now that the summer is over.

1. Sun spots? Combine IPL with Brightening Cream. So many of us get sun spots over the summer due to all the exposure to UV radiation. The optimal way to get rid of these unwanted pigmentary blemishes is to use Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments to target the pigment from the outside, and a brightening cream to target the pigment from the inside. I recommend my YOUN Beauty Brightening Cream (available by clicking HERE).

2. Clogged pores and rough skin? Dry brush. We apply so much sunblock, creams, and makeup to our skin over the summer months. Not surprisingly, this can leave the skin with clogged pores and rough skin. Dry brushing your skin prior to getting into the shower is a great way to get your skin soft and smooth again. I recommend one with organic bristles (Here is one on Amazon). Make sure to brush towards your heart to stimulate the lymphatics to move fluid out of the body.

3. Try a simple fast. Has eating grilled meat, ice cream, and s’mores caused you to gain a few unwanted pounds over the summer? If so, one easy way to take those pounds off is to do a simple, 5 day Prolon Fasting Mimicking Diet. This low calorie “fast” tricks your body into thinking you’re fasting. Not only can you lose anywhere from 3-15 pounds over just 5 days, but you may also jump start your metabolism, reset your microbiome, and improve the appearance of your skin by the process of autophagy. I did the Prolon Fasting Mimicking Diet about a year and a half ago, lost seven pounds, and have kept it off since then. Check it out by clicking HERE. A simpler option that won’t cost you a penny is to try intermittent fasting. Simply avoid eating food from 8 pm the first day until noon the second day. By skipping a late night snack and breakfast the following morning, your body will benefit greatly!
