If you want to be the most efficient fat burner, metabolically flexible, and immune strong, then you must address the root of it all…YOUR GUT Why? Because imbalances in your microbiome can lead to a host of issues like: Weight gain and weight regain (especially around your middle); increased risk of obesity, diabetes, and metabolic disease; higher rates of autoimmune disease; mood issues, including anxiety and depression; trouble with focus and memory AND… those pesky breakouts! It’s no coincidence that so many struggle with digestive issues since we are bombarded daily with pesticides, GMO crops, and the Standard American Diet.

Phthalates – A large class of chemicals found in plastic including food storage, such as Tupperware, water bottles, household cleaners, cosmetics, and more. Studies have shown pregnant women and children to be the most vulnerable to phthalates.

BPA – Bisphenol A is a chemical commonly used to make plastic and line food containers. Water bottles, canned goods, baby bottles, household items such as electronics, CD’s, DVD’s, receipts, toiletries, and some feminine hygiene products have been known to contain BPA.

Fragrance– Combinations of toxic chemicals used for air freshener, hand soap, body wash, laundry detergent, candles, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, etc.

PFC’s – Perfluorochemicals are a group of chemicals used mainly for non-stick pans result in chemicals being absorbed into food and consumed. I recommend cooking with Copper or Stainless Steel to avoid this when possible. Also found in some food packages, such as popcorn bags & fast food wrappers.

Pesticides – Common pesticides utilized include insecticides, antimicrobials, rodenticides, fungicides, and herbicides. Avoidance of these chemicals is advised as they’re harmful to humans & the environment. To avoid, buy organic or rinse all produce thoroughly.

EMF’s – Electromagnetic Fields, invisible energy made of electric and magnetic fields, commonly referred to as radiation, are EVERYWHERE! Gaming consoles, cellphones, microwaves, TV’s, computers/laptops/tablets, X-Ray machines, WiFi routers, antennas, wiring, (to name a few) all generate EMF’s, which may be harmful to our health.

You can eat all the vegetables, drink all the green smoothies, do 100 squats a day…but if you don’t take care of what’s going on inside and address your hormones – you’ll never be healthy. Instead, health is the complete harmony of the mind, body, and spirit. Health is taking care of your mind, nourishing your soul, getting a regular period, balancing your hormones (naturally), staying active, AND eating the right foods.

So many patients have the eating and exercising part down to the T…but when it comes to what’s going on within – their hormones are completely out of whack, they’re on the verge of a nervous breakdown, or they’re the farthest thing from happy and “whole.” If you’re doing all the right things but your hormones are still out-of-sync, you may need help regulating your period by dealing with stress and anxiety, etc…
